Performing Arts Physical Therapy is a specialized area of care as it relates to movement artists, such as dancers and gymnast, as well as musicians, as these athletes are prone to specific injuries due to the unique nature of their art form. Several therapists at Corvallis Sport and Spine Physical Therapy have personal experience in participation, as ballet dancers and an aerialist, they also have experience and advanced certification in the treatment of these highly specialized individuals. No matter your age or experience level, these therapists carry a strong passion to help you return to the studio, the gym, and the stage. Upon arriving for your first visit with Corvallis and Albany Sport and Spine, the therapist will review your performance and practice background, your medical history, and your goals prior to delving into your injury assessment. You will be evaluated thoroughly to address your specific injury, movement dysfunctions associated with the injury, as well as training effects and schedules. An individualized treatment plan is established and tailored to your needs in order to assure your return to full performance ability. Emphasis is also placed on education and injury prevention.
